Page One is an international festival for independent screenwriters. The 2026 edition brings selected writers into a focused group setting with screenwriters and filmmakers. Selection results are notified on October 27, 2026; the festival meets in Ljubljana on November 11.

Page One takes place at Prostir Ljubljana, a workshop and group-session venue at Tržaška c. 2. Indoor rooms host screenplay discussions and screenings; the connected courtyard gives writers, filmmakers and guests a shared place for breaks and follow-up conversations between sessions.

Independent screenwriters
Student, amateur and professional writers may enter. The programme can consider an unproduced screenplay or a screenplay that has already been made into a film.
Your authority to enter
Submit only material you own or are authorised to submit. Entry is for festival consideration, not a sale of the screenplay; permissions for reviewing and presenting selected work remain subject to the current FilmFreeway terms.
Check the live checkout amount
Submission fees are set and collected through FilmFreeway. The applicable amount is the fee displayed for the chosen deadline before payment; this website does not collect an entry fee.
Selection for the live programme
Entries are considered for the 2026 festival programme. Results are scheduled for October 27, 2026, and the running order is published after selected writers are notified.
